What are the age ranges for the crafts each month? Do different ages receive different crafts?
All of the kids in the club receive the same craft projects each month. The crafts are designed to be open ended enough that older kids can get sophisticated with them, while younger kids can have fun with a more random approach.
We've hosted events where really young kids (~ 2 yrs) were doing the same crafts as kids as old as 10yrs, and they were all enjoying them and creating some really original works. Another benefit of same craft to all subscribers is that households with more than 1 subscriber can be ensured that the kids won't be fighting over who received which craft!

What is the recommended age for your projects?
Our Kids Craft Club projects are designed for kids age 3 years to 6 years. Card Making Kits are designed with the same age range in mind, though we know several adults who have had just as much fun with these as their kids did! We've also had great 'fun factor' reviews from kids as young as 2 years, to 8 years and older.
-
How much parental or caregiver participation is required for your Craft Club projects?
Because our projects are intended for preschoolers, the kids completing the projects should be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times. That said, we strive to provide crafts that give each child as much creative freedom and independent work as possible, regardless of age or skill level. We recommend reviewing the project instructions with the child, and then assisting them when asked.
-
When are Kids Craft Club crafts mailed out?
Craft Club craft packages are sent out at in the last week of the previous month. For example, October's delivery will be mailed during the last week of September. To view mailing date each month, check our This Month's Delivery page
-
If I subscribe to the Kids Craft Club, when will I receive my first Craft?
New subscribers will receive their first Kids Craft Club shipment within the last week of the month they subscribe. For example, if a subscriber joins the Club in the middle of April, they will receive their first shipment during the last week of April (ie. the May Kids Craft Club delivery). If the subscription is for 6 or 12 months, a welcome package will be sent to the subscriber immediately.
-
How many cards come with the card kits?
Each kit has supplies to make up to eight cards (with envelopes).
-
Why don't your craft kits include glue?
To minimize shipping costs, Craft Caravan ships via Canada Post lettermail when possible. The addition of glue or glue stick to each craft requires the packages to be sent via parcel mail, significantly increasing customer shipping costs. We recommend keeping white glue and glue stick on hand for your regular craft activities.
-
Are the stickers in your Card Making Kits non-toxic?
Yes - the Message Stickers and Mini Stickers in our card making kits are designed and manufactured in Canada using non-toxic adhesives. The sticker designs themselves are exclusive to Craft Caravan - our favourite illustrator has captured playful images and phrases that our creative clients just love!
-
I'm not "crafty" - is this something my kids can still do?
Yes!! The Kids Craft Club projects come with illustrated instructions so the kids can get a clear idea of how to use the supplies that come with the craft. In fact, one of our main motivations for starting Craft Caravan was to help parents come up with new ideas for crafts regardless of how 'crafty' the caregiver is!
-
Do you ship to my city in Canada?
Yes, we ship across North America and currently have Craft Club members from coast to coast!
-
What are your shipping costs?
